Individual Free Style Dressage will be held in a 14 x 7 meter arena. The minimum length of the prepared dressage is set by the judges at 1,5 minutes. The maximum length is set at 4 minutes. Compliance with both the minimum and maximum lengths is one of the judging criteria.
The following compulsory exercises must be used in dressage:
- piaffe with at least 12 7 steps in a row
- a passage with at least 7 6 steps in a row
- extended trot (min. 1x)
- collected trot (min. 1x)
- prolonged gallop (min. 1x)
- jumps (min. 3x)
- change of direction (min. 2x) style is up to the rider
Adherence to the above exercises is another of the evaluation criteria.

We have prepared for you the basic rules of competitive dressage along with an explanation of the individual steps, the method of judging , the equipment of the riders. Choice of music for dressage singles – Free Style
Each participant in this competition discipline chooses the track on which he/she will perform dressage. The song must be available on Spotify.
When registering, you need to enter the name of the artist, the title of the song and possibly the URL of the Spotify link, or choose the option that you want to take the dressage without music.
If you do not want to play the song from the beginning, but from a specific time point, you must inform the judges before entering the arena.
Prepare the track with regard to the minimum length of time (1.5 minutes) and the maximum length of dressage time (4 minutes).
